Protection beyond the NHS vaccination schedule

Here in the UK, certain immunisations are routinely offered to parents for their children via the NHS. These immunisations are to protect them, and others, from the spread of dangerous infectious diseases, such as diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio, measles and mumps. Other immunisations, such as the flu vaccination, are available to adults who may be vulnerable to illness, such as people over 65, pregnant women, and adults and children with long-term health conditions or weakened immune systems.

There are also a number of private immunisations that are not currently available through the NHS. These immunisations can protect at-risk adults and children from potentially life-threatening illnesses. If you would like to find out more about having a private immunisation, we would advise you to book an appointment on 01476 55 00 56; we can then give you advice specific to your individual circumstances and arrange your vaccination schedule, as appropriate.
